If Hope Was…

Life, I suppose, is the best teacher anyone could possibly ask for, because at every turn and every point, life teaches us something, something new, something tough, something beautiful, something strange, something powerful… The most valuable lesson that life has imparted me with was about Hope.

Yes! Hope! While Hope did seem like just any other random word when I first encountered it, Life taught me very meticulously, at every step of my development, that Hope is not just a word but rather Hope is the one thing that can take up myriads of shapes and radiate its dazzling energy through any situation. And so…

If Hope was to be a star, then it would probably be the Sun… The sun embodies ultimate brightness; one that cannot be dimmed by anything in the world. The sun owns the power to give life to so many beings, millions of kilometersย away from it. I once encountered a phrase that said ” the darkest hour comes just before dawn” and Life made me realize that Hope is not just reason to believe in the light in moments of darkness but Hope in itself is the light that chases away darkness…

If Hope was to be a human, then it would probably take the shape of a child. Hope makes living become easier because just like a heart full of hope, a child too smiles without apprehension. A child, just like Hope, has the ability to believe in the magic of normal life. Hope makes people see the good in one another, just like how a child sees only the good in things…

If Hope was to be an animal, then it would probably be a dog because Hope gives birth to unconditional love, die-hard loyalty and happiness from small random acts… Qualities that these four legged creatures are epitome of. Life taught me that Hope gives the strength of love to those who nurture it. For those who live with Hope, Happiness comes with everything, random acts are valued and routine chores become satisfying.

If Hope was to be a place; then it would definitely be Home, because Home is the only place where one actually gets to feel true to the self. Home just like hope makes a person feel loved and pushes the person ahead with never ending affection, never failing encouragement and never dwindling confidence. Home embodies togetherness just like Hope which makes people come closer to one another by virtue of the same belief…

If Hope was to be a bird; then it would be the legendary phoenix bird because just like how the phoenix rises from its ashes, Hope instills in people determination and courage to brave the storms of despair, worry and failure to rise and shine…It does not take much to simply shun away from an impending moment of glory but it takes courage, determination and strength to brave through all the obstacles and succeed and Hope gives people those virtues…

Life has taught me beautiful lessons on how I need to keep Hope alive in moments of despair, How I need to use the the ever bright light called Hope to scare away darkness and How I need to spread Hope to all those I see and meet, because even a tiny ray of Hope is itself a very powerful tool…

Because if Hope is alive, then the promise of the world becoming a better place holds on…

  1. This article is incredible. I’m speechless. ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘
I like the way you describe Hope and how you went very deep into the analysis of it. You explain it in a way that makes us readers realise how ingrained it can be in our lives, and how we almost cannot live without it.

Also, how you describe how Hope could be the Phoenix bird, a child, a home, the sun and a dog, is fantastic. You don’t just present one of the images that you have of what Hope means, but also draw a full picture of it and make us understand more about the way you perceive things.
What can I add more except “Keep it up ?! ๐Ÿคฃ
